BEER OF THE WEEK – THOR’S EQUINOX

This week’s accolades go to Thor’s Equinox Belgian strong dark ale by the Odin Brewery. While it’s definitely not Unibroue it’s a great beer.

It pours medium amber with a tan head of about an inch and a half. The head disappears quickly giving way to a great odor. The aroma is of dark fruit, molasses and roasted malts. The flavors are similar with a hoppy chocolate finish.

Again, its not up there with premium Belgian ales but its a great cheaper version.
